Archive for the ‘Poker Videos’ Category

This is a follow on from my last post on TST and also the second video session that i have posted.

This one should be a lot more watchable than the first one that i posted as ive now fixed the video quality problems that i had before. Again in the video i ran quite loose trying to play lots of pots with fish and im opening a really wide range that most people dont contemplate opening. Even though im opening so wide most people will notice that im playing a really simple ABC style without having to make many fancy plays or do too much that could be seen as spewy. Hopefully it may be of use to anyone playing below NL25 and you never know maybe one or two things that a NL25 player could find useful.

First off i must say that im not overly happy with what i did for my first video on here and apologize for the picture quality, i need to change the settings. My plan was to make one that showed how i use Tablescan Turbo to end up on the best tables but it dosnt actually turn out like that and at one point in the video im playing about 20 tables. I also had problems setting up the recording software and as a result my mouse cursor dosnt show in the videos which was a disappointment that im sorry about. At the back end of the video i also run like god which although is nice and i know a lot of Poker Coaches must record sessions numerous times to make themselves look good but for me we probably learn more from sessions when we get in some decent spots rather than just hitting flop after flop.

That all been said i have decided to still put the video up because theres quite a lot of interesting spots that come up. Theres a few value betting and thin value betting spots that come up that ive hopefully played quite well that some people may normally miss. Theres a bit of light 3betting that goes on and i make a couple of decent folds during the video and because i sort of lost the aim of the video theres quite a lot going on and im sure i make quite a few mistakes because im not focusing and playing too many tables. Theres lots of isoing of fish in the video and opening in a lot of spots that a lot of people would just normally ignore hence during the video i end up playing 25/20, which is a little bit looser than i normally play,  and although i end up nearly 3 buyins theres no pots bigger than 41bb and i really dont do that much that is out of the ordinary.

Im going to add the NL10 video at some point but before that i will probably try and make a better one at NL25 that may be easier to watch, anyway the video is below and all comments are more than welcome.

My favourite forum on 2+2 is the Poker Goals section and im a regular poster there and have had a few threads of my own on there.  Theres a group of us that post in each others threads and on occasion ive made videos for my friends to either review my play or hopefully to help out some of the guys that play a bit lower than me. Ive been meaning to make another one for a while now but until the last few months i havnt really been that motivated about playing nevermind recording a video for people to review my play.

Hopefully i will get the chance to make a video of myself playing in the next couple of days. Im probably going to make one of myself playing at NL25 just so hopefully people can point out any obvious leaks and get that one up first if i can figure out the best way to upload it. After that im thinking of making one for NL10 as i have a few friends who play that level and ive got quite a bit of experience playing that level on Stars since i moved there so hopefully it will be relevant and of help to someone. I wont be giving commentry on the videos as i hate the sound of my own voice and tend to get muddled up a bit but i will be playing quite loose and trying to get myself in to some spots that people at that level either avoid or miss all together but i will still be playing a pretty straight forward style.

Like i say hopefully i can these up by the end of the week and all comments are welcome however harsh. 🙂
