This is a follow on from my last post on TST and also the second video session that i have posted.

This one should be a lot more watchable than the first one that i posted as ive now fixed the video quality problems that i had before. Again in the video i ran quite loose trying to play lots of pots with fish and im opening a really wide range that most people dont contemplate opening. Even though im opening so wide most people will notice that im playing a really simple ABC style without having to make many fancy plays or do too much that could be seen as spewy. Hopefully it may be of use to anyone playing below NL25 and you never know maybe one or two things that a NL25 player could find useful.

Have to say … you have really opened my eyes to how badly i prepared for poker.

I was on the verge of quitting after my latest tilt induced blow out, i even self banned myself on 2+2 in a fit of rage ( regret that now ) …

Once im back on 2+2,if its ok, ill have a chat with you about your pop up configurations etc and what kind of computer you have.

My computer is pretty old tbh, but its been good enough to mass table on Stars, but not good enough to use software like the perma scan all the time.

I will be having a short break from poker until ive addressed my whole set up to poker and will purchase a new computer and look to change a few things before returning.

    Great blog, keep it going.

    Great Vid 🙂

Your approach to poker is very professional.

Can you talk a bit about the AHK scripts you use?
What do you think are the most important ones for 12+ multitablers?

    Awesome blog!

      Thanks, glad you liked it.

I only ever use Table Ninja, i find it really easy to use and set up and have used it since i started playing on Full Tilt. From experience i dont think you can go far wrong with it.

One thing that i notice is the lack of HUD stats.

VPIP / PFR / 3 bet / Fold to 3 bet is all you use and the rest are in the pop ups.

My HUD is littered with a lot of stats, and im wondering if your HUD has always been like this or have you had advice and changed your HUD set up fairly recently ?

    • martl1 says:

I think for the time being i just prefer a less is more approach. Ive had coaches who have had a multi tude of stats and ive had ones who prefer less on screen so i guess its just a case of what works out best for yourself.

I tended to find with a lot of stats i just wasnt really looking at them in the hand or if i was i was reading too much in to small samples and making mistakes that way. Nowadays i much prefer to make a lot of my decisions based on villain type and board textures and the only time i really check the pop ups much is in steal situations.

Apart from adding a couple of things, Ive virtually copied your HUD pop up layouts and also got rid of most of my HUD stats.

Its going to take me a little while to get used to it, but ill get there.

You using HEM 1 ?, because i cannot figure out how you do those lines on the pop ups.

  6. martl1 says:

Your im using Hem1, the pop ups took me ages to sort out like that. Im away for a day or so now but if you get stuck i can always send you mine.

  7. Jos says:

I was going to ask if you could send me your pop up configurations … but i decided to stop being a lazy bugger and do them myself 🙂

Im happy with how they look now, i just could not figure out how you added lines, the best i could come up with was using ————————————

  8. Jos says:

    Hmm .. not sure why thats showing as a ————-, its suppose to look like this – – – – – – – – – – –

    • martl1 says:

I really like them spaced out so there isnt an information overload and it was a pain in the ass sorting them out, apparently its easier in HEM2 but i still havnt upgraded because of the bad reviews it gets and im still happy with hem1.

The line thing ive just checked and it looks like i used the under score rather than the dash which seems to have the result i got.
